Too often I see people make guesses in countries that aren't a possibility. Get to know some of the over represented locations. It might seem like a daunting task, but the left side countries are kind of clustered. For example if you end up in a Museum with Chinese language, it's not impossible you are for example in Beijing, Shanghai or perhaps the National Silk Museum in Hangzhou. Then there's a lot of dead areas which are just desert/tundra/rainforest so no coverage there either.

What are all of the countries not on Geoguessr?
Not every country on earth is covered by Google Streetview, and therefore a possible location on Geoguessr. There are some locations which are small in area and have an iconic look, but are seemingly over represented in the game, so it's a good strategy to have those dialed in for a good point yield. While we are good at finding those random locations in the world, please do not post random location images asking where they are. When the game first loads you’ll be looking at the hand picked daily location. Best part is since you’ve already instantiated the maps for the daily game, it costs nothing extra. Locations are generated and you’re able to filter the type of locations you want to see.

Knowing which abbreviation stands for which country can be a big help. It's a white plate with a distinctive blue stripe on the left. Some countries however give their own spin to it. Look straight into the sun and take a look at your compass; does it point to the south?
What are your top tips for a new player?
Those countries/regions haven't allowed Google to map their streets and roads. Some big luckygem casino bonus ones are mainland China, Kazakhstan, most of Africa, most of the Middle East, easier to memorize the few countries that do have coverage in those regions. If there's no Google coverage, no point in guessing there.
My recommendation is not to study them, but to take a mental note when something stands out to you in a game. Here are some basic things that I would say are fairly easy for a beginner, and will might give a big return. Users who post in this subreddit solely to promote someone's content are not welcome and might be banned in case of repeated violations.

Australia, India, most of South East Asia are left side driving, with the exception of Taiwan, South Korea, The Philippines, Cambodia, and Laos. All of the Americas (as far as you'll see in the game anyway) are right side driving. Which side of the road countries drive on. Where countries are located, flags, capitals and some of the other biggest cities, domain names. Look up where there's no Google coverage.
But such locations can of course still also occur in areas with official coverage like Hong Kong or Taiwan for the example of a Chinese language museum. After that you can play unlimited, except curating a list of locations is very time consuming. (Malta is easy to forget, but you'll see it a lot in the game.) The southern/eastern parts of Africa are left side driving. Is there any way that we can continue playing games? Geoguessr has this neat feature where if you zoom in on a country it shows you the native language/script. If you know which countries are in the EU, using this plate logic you can narrow down your guess quite a lot.
